Work with us

C2SMART is hiring a Communications Associate and a Systems Engineer to support researchers working on cutting edge transportation research here at the center. Both positions will be filled at our main location at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering in Downtown Brooklyn.

The Communications Associate will be primarily responsible for leading the communication activities of the center, which will include reviewing and editing technical reports, developing presentations, and creating other promotional material for the research center. In addition, the candidate may be relied upon to manage center messaging through email newsletters and/or the website, coordinate logistics for events held at the center, and provide support for the administrative and logistical needs of the center.

The position will allow for a high degree of creativity and latitude for independent judgement, based on general direction from the center’s directors. The ideal candidate is a self-starter that will be comfortable collaborating with center staff from all levels in crafting and improving the center’s messaging and communications.

In addition, the candidate will also be relied upon to provide technical guidance to faculty, staff, and students in the procurement and usage of hardware and software tools, as well as contributing towards the design and development of new tools as required by sponsored projects.
