Michael Albergo

Adjunct Professor, New York University

Michael Albergo, P.E., PMI-RMP, is the co-director of the Project Execution Risk Laboratory ​(PERL). He has over 30 years of experience in the analysis of public works construction projects, with emphasis on transportation components. His strengths include risk management, value engineering, and analysis of construction logistics. He has worked with both public and private organizations to address their concerns during planning, design, and construction. Strong analytical, computer, writing, facilitation, and communications skills have enabled him to play a pivotal role in many of these projects.

A certified Risk Management Professional (RMP), Mr. Albergo has completed risk assessments for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ), New Jersey Transit, Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA), Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), National Park Service, and numerous private sector clients. A licensed professional engineer in N.Y. State, Mr. Albergo holds a BS degree in nuclear engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and is an adjunct professor at New York University where he teaches risk analysis.
