Through internships, educational initiatives, mentorship programs, special events, and research opportunities, C2SMART’s member organizations provide K-12 through graduate students with valuable learning and networking opportunities to ensure equitable and meaningful access to Smart City education.

Director of Mobility of the City of Cuenca
Diego earned his PhD from the Department of Civil and Urban Engineering at New York University Polytechnic School of Engineering, and his Masters of City and Regional Planning at Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. He received his Bachelor Degree (2004) in Civil Engineering from University of Cuenca, and Master Degree (2012) in Transportation Engineering from Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador. He also received his M.Sc. (2014) in Civil Engineering from Rutgers University and a Certification in Transportation Studies form Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University.
He is currently the Director of Mobility for the City of Cuenca, where he and his team work to utilize mobility to improve the quality of life, citizen security, public health, and sustainability.
