floodsense

FloodSense works to better understand the frequency, severity, and impacts of flooding in New York City through its network of innovative information sources on street flooding impacts in neighborhoods that are vulnerable to high tides, storm surge, and stormwater runoff. The data and knowledge gained can be used by local residents, researchers, city agencies, and others to advocate around and work to reduce flood risk.

MATSim

MATSim allows us to integrate all available datasets into a comprehensive, connected model of cities to test and predict the impact of new transportation technologies and services on city infrastructure with real-time information.

URBAN ROADWAY TESTBED

C2SMART researchers have installed various types of sensors to effectively analyze behaviors of BQE’s concrete cantilever structures as part of a structural health monitoring plan to address immediate infrastructure needs while longer-term rehabilitation plans take shape. This data will in turn improve future assessments, predictions, and long-term monitoring of the BQE, and provide information for data-driven decisions to ensure timely and cost-effective management of issues as they arise.

MOBILITY DATA DASHBOARD

Leveraging open data from multiple sources, this project features both traditional and innovative techniques，such as data mining and visualization, agent-based traffic simulation model and real-time computer vision technique, to help researchers and transportation authorities understand and observe the impact of the pandemic on transportation.
