Prof. Eugene Vinitsky recently received the 2026 NYU Tandon School of Engineering Junior Faculty Research Award, which is an annual honor bestowed upon an Assistant Professor in recognition of their notable research accomplishments.
Based in the Department of Civil, Urban, & Environmental Engineering at NYU Tandon, Eugene also has affiliations with Computer Science and the Center for Data Science, and is a founding researcher at Percepta.
His EMERGE lab, which is run out of NYU with student researchers, aims to develop capable, safe, and intelligent multi-agent systems through learning, simulation, and data.
This marks the second year in a row that a C2SMART Assistant Professor has won this award, as Prof. Daniel Vignon was last year’s recipient.
