In mid-November, we hosted a Career Panel for NYU Tandon School of Engineering students to gain insights from young professionals who recently made the leap from education to industry themselves. Panelists discussed their career trajectories, some lessons learned, and answered questions directly from audience members.
Our panel, which was hosted by ITE NYU chapter president Stephen Martone, featured:
- Dr. Jannie Gao, NYU/C2SMART
- Holly Chase, NYU/C2SMART
- Dr. Suzana Duran Bernardes, Disney (and former C2SMART student researcher!)
- Michael Willson, Arup
All of the panelists have professional experience within different facets of the transportation world, including in academia, agency, and industry. Comparing and contrasting life in their different roles, the panel offered invaluable insight to the engineering students who will begin their own careers soon.
