We’re very excited to partner with NYU Rudin Center for Transportation Policy and Management and NYC Mayor’s Office of Climate & Environmental Justice for the first-ever NYU Transportation Design Challenge.
This competition invites interdisciplinary teams of 3–5 NYU students to develop bold, innovative solutions to shape the future of transportation in New York City.
The Challenge: Design a climate-resilient bus shelter that protects passengers from extreme heat and precipitation while providing a safe, comfortable, and informative waiting space.
The winning team will earn a monetary prize and the opportunity to present their proposal to city officials, with the potential for real-world implementation.
Full competition details, including guidelines, parameters, and key dates are posted on the NYU Rudin Center’s website for review.
