October 24, 2026
On Saturday, October 24, we helped NYU Tandon students host the annual TransportationCamp NYC ‘unconference.’ The daylong event, which has been held at NYU Tandon’s Brooklyn campus for the past 4 years, is designed for transportation professionals, students, and enthusiasts alike to gather and discuss whatever topics they see fit.
Every session is planned, proposed, and led by attendees, making it the perfect opportunity to brainstorm transportation topics with a diverse group of individuals from a multidisciplinary industry.
Nearly 250 attendees participated this year, with several states, universities, and organizations represented. This year’s sessions included:
- Role of Community Engagement in Transportation Planning
- Everything about the Seoul Subway
- A Transportation Theory of Everything
- Over 190 Years of LIRR: Valuable Lessons
TransportationCamp is dependent on its student volunteers, both for the planning that starts months prior and for the many day of tasks that arise; thank you to everyone who helped make the day so successful.
Special thanks to Matthew Fiore Fiore for leading the planning committee for the 4th year in a row. See you in 2027!
