The AASHTO-FHWA Joint Agreement for the Implementation of MASH 2016 requires that any roadside safety hardware (guide rail, bridge rail, transitions, attenuators, etc.) to be installed on the National Highway System must be MASH-compliant. The current Statewide Active Transportation Demand Management (ATDM) program is nearing the end of its contract period. This assignment will assist NYSDOT in setting a strategic direction and executing a procurement strategy for a new Statewide Mobility Services Program, building on the strengths of the evolving ATDM Program while leveraging the opportunities now available in the private marketplace.
The objective of this study is to develop a model that links the resource requirements for Capital Program delivery functions with the NYSDOT Capital Program.
This project’s goal is to research, evaluate and test the ability and effectiveness of using open source ATMS software to center functionalities in a Regional TMC setting as a future procurement option to support the evolving TSMO program.
